A little bit about who we are...

The Bible tells us in Psalm 139:7-8 "I can never escape from Your Spirit! I can never get away from Your Presence! If I go up to Heaven, You are there; if I go down to the grave, You are there." There is no mountain too high that God's love could not reach it still. Mare-Rouge in Haiti is named after the red dirt that makes up the town's streets. The School of Light in Haiti is nestled into the side of the mountain in Mare-Rouge and is operated by staff that have a heart for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and for the people of Haiti. Haiti is truly such a beautiful country with so many beautiful people. However, many people never have the opportunity to truly see and experience the beauty of Haiti due to the negative coverage in the media. There are many bad things that happen in Haiti, but just as Psalm 139 tells us, the Presence of the Lord Most High is still there. Jesus is still reaching the unreachable places and He is using His remnant of people to be His hands and feet to spread the Gospel. Every child should have the opportunity to know and experience the love of Jesus and at Haiti School of Light, that is what we strive to do! We strive to show the unconditional love of Jesus to each child that we are able. Even the most hopeless of circumstances and situations are not hopeless when our hope is in Jesus! He is always with us, even in the most unreachable places.
