Hi, my name is Angela "Angie" Rowden! I live in Iberia, Missouri where I attend Full Gospel Tabernacle. I've been a Christian since I was nine years old where I gave my heart to the Lord and was baptized at church camp! I have been married to my husband Trampus for twenty-two years and together we have four children. Our oldest child is 21 and her name is Meredith. Right after she graduated, she married the love of her life, Matt, and added another son to our family. They live in Sedalia, Missouri and we cherish every time we get to see them. Our middle daughter is nineteen, her name is Emma, and she is currently a college freshman. Emma also works full time at a daycare and has a heart to help people. Our youngest children are twins and they are almost fifteen. Logan is our son and he loves to play video games. Sarah is our youngest daughter, she loves track, and is getting ready to start a new adventure playing soccer. I attended State Fair Community College where I obtained an associate's degree in elementary education as well as an associate's degree in secondary education. I then transferred to Central Methodist University where I received a bachelor's degree in elementary education in 2022. I have taught special education the past two school years at Iberia R-V school district. Next year I will teach second grade there! I am the Sunday school superintendent at Full Gospel Tabernacle and have served in many other capacities there over the past twenty-two years. My husband is on the corporate board and is the associate pastor as well. I have a heart for children and for teaching. I believe that every child should have the opportunity for an education and I love what Haiti School of Light is about. I am so excited to be a part of an organization that supports teaching children skills but more importantly teaches them about Jesus. Before I knew about Haiti School of Light I felt called to missions. I did not know in what capacity that would be but I knew there was a call. Before covid shut things down, my husband and I had a mission around our community called Dinner and a Smile, where we delivered (with lots of support and help) a hot meal and a smile to people in and around our community. Then, I met the Benedict's by divine appointment and got excited to know more about their mission and the School of Light. Not long after our close friends, the Baker's, made a trip with them to Haiti and my passion just grew even more! Finally, last summer my husband went to Haiti and ministered at a pastor's conference where he met Pastor Rousier. Trampus immediately felt a closeness with some of the Haitian pastors and one of them was Pastor Rousier. When Trampus returned from his trip, I just knew that I wanted to be a part of supporting Haiti School of Light. I am most passionate about getting all of the students sponsored! Knowing that every student would get to go to school, get a snack each day, and get a medical check up each year, is my number one priority! Next would be sponsoring teachers. I know the sacrifices that they make to teach and would love to bless them and get them what they need to teach their classes. I would also like to see School of Light be able to add more grade levels, which in turn would add more students and teachers. Most of all, I pray that the students and their families all give their hearts to Jesus. I've not been on a mission trip outside of the USA. I've served in a mission capacity in my community and as a teen with my youth group. With sending my husband to Haiti last year, I feel like a part of my heart was in Haiti. It was hard to be separate for two weeks but I was so blessed to hear about his experiences! I held things down at home while he answered the Lord's call.
My favorite color is pink and my favorite food is Mexican food! In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my husband and my children!
